I was born in Argentina. I studied Biology in Patagonia and then moved to Buenos Aires where I did my PhD in Molecular Biology under the supervision of Dr. Alberto Kornblihtt.
During that time, I also wrote 2 books for Argentinian Ministry of Education on science popularization.
In 2012 I moved to Germany and I started a post-doc at EMBL (European Molecular Biology Laboratory) in Heidelberg.
During my career I was doing research on different areas of molecular biology and studying cellular processes like transcription and alternative splicing. But my goals were trying to understand the role of novel players known as non-coding RNAs.
Finally, I decided to move to neurobiology in order to learn about the molecular basis of learning and memory.
In 2013 I attended an amazing neurobiology course at Cold Spring Harbor (NY, USA) that have changed my own perspective on the challenges and goals of neurobiology.
In 2015 I started an amazing new project, a 5 years´ journey, writing a book about the biology of depression. My dream: to help people fighting this terrible beast but also their closest ones (family, friends, etc.).
